The MIXOLOGY Bar Awards are held annually to celebrate excellence in the bar and cocktail scene across German-speaking Europe. They recognize the most innovative and influential bars, bartenders, and industry professionals who are shaping modern bar culture through creativity, hospitality, and craftsmanship.
Often called “the Oscars for the bar scene” —highlighting not just great drinks, but also the artistry, service, and community that make a bar truly exceptional. It’s a way to spotlight rising talent, honor long-standing institutions, and push the industry forward.
During the 2024 relaunch of the Mixology website, I helped the Meininger Online Team build a dedicated online presence for the Bar Awards. Although the Bar Awards is a sub-section of the Mixology website, the aim was to create a distinctly separate visual identity from both the main site and its sister platform, "Made in GSA."
I developed a Drupal module that dynamically switches between themes within the same site based on specific conditions. I also tasked with the theming process, bringing the designer’s vision to life into an engaging web experience.
